Essential Job Duties
Coordination of Production Capacity and Material Planning
o You are responsible for coordinating production capacity and material planning to maintain a steady workflow.
o This involves ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time to maximize the use of assembly resources.
Implementing Best Practices and Efficiency
o You implement methods and best practices related to systems and processes that support inventory forecasting, material control, and scheduling.
o These practices contribute directly to efficient operations and cost-effectiveness.
Achieving Key Metrics and KPIs
o You drive the organization to achieve key metrics such as inventory turns, days on hand, on-time delivery, and schedule adherence.
o You actively contribute to achieving departmental KPIs both individually and as part of a team to ensure everyone works toward common objectives.
Supplier Coordination and Quality Assurance
o You collaborate with the purchasing department to support supplier strategies.
o Ensuring the correct delivery, quality, and supply flow of components and materials from vendors is crucial for smooth manufacturing operations.
Managing Material Demand and Flow
o You manage material demand and flow through a series of production mechanisms.
o This provides the flexibility to handle fluctuations in forecasts while ensuring timely availability of components.
Forecasting and Data Analysis
o By gathering, analyzing, and validating data, you help forecast product needs to optimize inventory and production planning.
Identifying and Addressing Bottlenecks
o You proactively identify bottlenecks in the production process and adjust material plans to eliminate delays.
o This ensures a smooth production flow and the achievement of delivery deadlines.
Building Partnerships and Safety
o You develop and maintain strong partnerships within the organization to achieve high-quality results.
